Subscribe a field
A field is a profession — nursing, automotive aftersales, hospitality, sales. Your organisation subscribes to the fields it trains for. Subscription is the entry move: without subscribing, you can’t onboard field experts in that field, and you can’t promote scenarios in that field to your cohorts.
Before you begin
- You hold the Org admin role.
- You know which fields your cohorts will train for. If you’re unsure, check the catalogue first — the named field may already exist under a different label.
Step 1 — Open the fields page
From your home, go to the fields page. You’ll see a card per field your org has already subscribed to, each with the field’s description and the count of scenarios promoted to cohorts. An empty list is normal on day one.
Step 2 — Subscribe to a field
Click Subscribe to a field. Pick from the catalogue. Each field in
the catalogue carries default Dreyfus targets per sub-competency,
which scenarios authored in that field will inherit as a starting
point. See the eight sub-competencies
for what those targets mean.
Step 3 — What happens next
Once the field is subscribed:
- You can invite field experts in that field. See invite members.
- Once two field experts exist in the field, peer validation can produce Validated scenarios. See peer validation.
- Once a scenario is Validated AND Live, you can promote it to cohorts. See promote scenarios.
When something goes wrong
- The field isn’t in the catalogue. Contact your customer success contact at Pondara — new fields are added by request, with their default sub-competency targets reviewed by a partner expert.
- You subscribed but no scenarios show up. No scenarios are Live in that field for your org yet. Field experts in the field need to author and validate them first; check the scenario lifecycle for the path from Draft to Live.
- A field expert in the field can’t author scenarios. Confirm the expert is invited with the Field expert role for the same field (one expert can carry roles in several fields, but each carries a field tag).
